Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flow charts. It is about one life influencing another.
— John C. Maxwell

At Onelife we believe that Leadership is influence.

Whether that is  over the dinner table with family or the board meeting with executives. From the classroom to the chat room, the house of commons to the after show party we all have an opportunity to influence, to put our fingerprint on the world. When we come into a relationship with Jesus we step out into every sphere of society in partnership with God and we can influence and shape our surroundings to leave His imprint on the world.

Imagine a day when the UK is populated with character-full, Christian leaders, connected, supported and transforming society for the better in politics, education, the arts and entertainment, media, the Church, business and in the family...

At Onelife we imagine that day, and celebrate every time we get to play our part in envisioning and raising up a generation of exceptional leaders distinguished by the very presence of God at work in and through their lives.

Values

Here are some core values that are important to us at Onelife.   We want these values to shape who we are and determine our attitudes, decisions and actions as we work together.

WE HAVE A WORD AND SPIRIT THEOLOGY

We carry an expectancy for both the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to shape, lead and guide us in all that we do. A deep relationship with Jesus and following his example is the motivation for all that Onelife does.

IT’S ALL ABOUT CHURCH.

We’re not interested in doing something separate to Church, but for Onelife to be resourcing young people to be connected in their local church context, active, grounded and bringing change in their local communities.

WE WANT TO IMPACT THE UK.

Our primary focus is to inspire and train leaders to reach every sphere of the UK. We are committed to our culture and society for the long haul and want to see this vision become a reality.

RELATIONSHIP IS IMPORTANT TO US.

We believe that the best leadership is learnt relationally and often ‘caught’ rather than ‘taught’. We value accountable, honouring and deep relationships in all we do.

CHARACTER BEFORE GIFTING.

We are committed to investing in the ‘unseen’ before growing the ‘seen’. We are convinced that servant hood and humility are the benchmark of leadership.

DOING THINGS WELL.

We want to aim for excellence in everything we do, but never at the cost of the presence of God.

GET GOOD AT GIVING UP.

We want to give God glory and point people to him. We also want to remain creative and innovative and avoid holding on too tightly to ideas and roles in our team. We're up for letting go of things if we sense God is taking us in a new direction.
